Everett Pattschull


Everett Pattschull, 84, of Charles City, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Memorial services for Everett Pattschull will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.

The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service.

Everett Carl Pattschull was born October 16, 1926, in Floyd County, the son of Fredrick and Helen (Strong) Pattschull. He received his education at both rural and Charles City schools. On February 1, 1946, he was united in marriage to Maxine Freiberg at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. They farmed southwest of Charles City. Everett also was employed at Salsbury Laboratories for 35 years. He enjoyed playing cards, woodworking, traveling, wintering in Texas, and spending time with family and friends. Everett will be remembered for his love of farming and ability to always find something to do.

Living family members include three children, Kathy (Douglas) Franke, and Debra (James) Mehmen both of Charles City, and Tracy (Janice) Pattschull of Greene; seven grandchildren, Bridgette (Bryan) Quade, Brandon (Lindsey) Franke, Heather, Shane and Ashly Mehmen, Toya (Jeff) Heideman and Cody (Amber) Pattschull; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Dean Pattschull of Nashua.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife on March 4, 2010; and a sister, Irene Nikolas.
