Becky J. Reams, 59, of Charles City, died Monday morning, April 18, 2011, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.
Funeral services for Becky Reams will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Ruth Yeaton of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Becky Jo Temple was born April 14, 1952, in Fort Lee, Va., the daughter of William J. and Shirley (Brown) Temple. She graduated from the Charles City High School and Le James Beauty School. On August 27, 1971, she was united in marriage to Steven Reams and they later divorced. Over the years, Becky was employed at the Golden Touch and Chautauqua Homes in Charles City. Becky enjoyed all animals, feeding the birds and when she was younger playing the violin.
Living family members include her three children, Eric Reams and his special friend Roberta Hill of Charles City, Nicole (Lucas) Adams of Ontario, Canada and Lucus Reams of Charles City; three grandchildren, Hunter, Madeline and Matraca Adams; mother, Shirley Temple of Charles City; and two brothers, Dale Temple of Floyd and Doug (June) Temple of Charles City.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and her father.
