Calvin Martin, 9, of Riceville, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services for Calvin Martin will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Meadow Run Mennonite Church, 160th Street and Douglas Avenue, Elma, with the family meeting at the Martin home at 9 a.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Mervin Martin home, 16726 Bell Avenue, Riceville, IA 50466, Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
Calvin Eberly Martin was born December 17, 2001, at Riceville, the son of Mervin and Alma (Eberly) Martin. Calvin was a student at Riceville Elementary School.
Living family members include his parents Mervin and Alma Martin of Riceville; six siblings, Eileen, Michael, Chester, Russell, Karen and Kurtis Martin all at home; paternal grandparents, Noah and Minerva Martin of New Holland, Penn; and maternal grandmother, Miriam Eberly of Narvon, Penn.
Calvin was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Martin; and maternal grandfather, Ivan Eberly.
