Leon G. Hansen, 59, of Charles City, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City.
Funeral services for Leon Hansen will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Reverend Carl Ries of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.
The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Leon Gilbert Hansen was born May 18, 1952, at Osage, the son of Harvey G. and Velora Rose (McFarland) Hansen. His interests included riding bikes, his nieces, nephews and all children.
Living family members include his six siblings, Linda (Geno) LaChapelle of St. Ansgar, Veleta Musehund of Wesley, Donna Bruggeman of Plymouth, Carrie (Albert) Leeman of Valga, S.D., Ed (Wendy) Hansen of St. Ansgar and Ira Hansen of Pella; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; parents; brother, Terry Hansen; and sister, Loree Hansen.
